Advisory & Accountability Team

InTruth Ministries is committed to excellence in sound Christian doctrine, teaching, ministry practice, and integrity. Therefore, InTruth has selected ordained ministry partners that will serve in an advisory and accountability capacity. These partners have consistently demonstrated faithfulness, trustworthiness, integrity and reliability in their own lives and ministries.

Rev. Mike Gwinn

  • Native of Atlanta and graduated from Georgia State University and worked in the insurance industry for ten years.

  • Called into ministry at the age of 35 and graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Studies and ordained into the Gospel Ministry.

  • Served two churches as Pastor: Liberty Baptist Church in Portland, Oregon and Stonecrest Baptist Church in Woodstock, Georgia.

  • Served for two years with the mission agency Operation Mobilization before joining the ministerial staff at First Baptist Church of Woodstock, GA where he served in various capacities in the missions, evangelism, church planting and pastoral care ministries.

  • Retired from First Baptist Woodstock in 2017 after 17 years and now do some teaching, discipleship, and other ministry.

  • Married to my high school sweetheart Melody Gwinn for 46 years, have two sons and six grandchildren.

  • Melody and I love to serve the Lord, go jeeping in the North Georgia and North Carolina mountains, and spend time with our grandchildren.

Rev. Alan Morris

Alan Morris is currently the Associational Missionary for the North Central Mission Center, a ministry that coordinates and assists the churches in the Etowah, Lanier, and Roswell Baptist Associations in the north-central part of the state of Georgia. Alan provides direction, counseling, resources, and mission opportunities (both foreign and domestic) for these 80 churches while co-leading a mobile seminary for pastors and church leaders in El Salvador, Honduras, Peru, and Dominican Republic. Alan is also an adjunct professor at Shorter University in Rome, GA, teaching “Old Testament Survey,” “New Testament Survey,” “Missions: History and Practice,” and “Missions: Area Focus – Asia.” Morris has served as a pastor in various sized churches and in several states and countries, as well as served as a missionary in Indonesia, and has been to over 49 countries. Alan is married to Rebecca, an archaeologist and teacher, for 42 years and they have five children and five grandchildren. Morris has helped to plant 21 churches in 8 languages in the last 11 years through the North Central Mission office. His leadership has established an environment of receptivity and availability to churches and church leaders both indigenous and foreign. The Kingdom of Heaven will include “all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues” (Revelation 7:9), impacting the vision of his ministry focus and reputation.

Rev. Ricky Thrasher

Dr. Ricky Thrasher is a State Missionary with the Georgia Baptist Mission Board serving as the state in Association Missions. He has aided in establishing Compassionate Ministries across the state and aiding many churches in Community Missions. Before coming to Georgia Baptist Mission Board, Ricky served as an Associational Missionary and served two churches as pastor. He is a graduate of News Orleans Baptist Seminary earning a DMin. He and his wife Janet have two daughters and six grandchildren.
